Applications for residence from new undergraduate students should be made via the JCU Accommodation Website. Early applications may be made from August each year via the JCU Accommodation Online Application process. The accommodation Office will then distribute the applications received to the various Colleges/Halls as per the student’s preference from September each year. Applications are considered and offers will be made from this date. Offers of accommodation are made regardless of a student’s QTAC status with a deposit being required when accepting. A refund policy is in place for students who do not receive a QTAC offer.

Rooms do fill fast so don’t hesitate apply now.

 

2017 Residence Period

 

Study Period 1

  • New students – 12 February
  • Returning students – 15 February

 

Study Period 2

  • New students – 23 July
  • Returning students – 23 July

 2017 Expiry Date

 

24 hours after the resident’s last examination or 10am the day following the last day of the exam period, whichever is sooner.

 

 2017 Fee Schedule

 

All fees are full board which includes the following:

  • A single room
  • Three meals per day seven days a week
  • Bed Linen consisting of mattress protector sheets.  Bedspreads can be provided on request.
  • Full membership to the JCU Gym and Pool

Air Conditioner$850.00 per annum, GST inclusive
Electricity for Bar Fridge$170.00 per annum, GST inclusive (permission required)
ReKeying Charge$220.00 GST inclusive (only applicable if room key lost or misplaced)
