While The John Flynn College will always remain to be academically focused, each year a Student Association Executive is elected and it is their role in the College to organise social events throughout the year, for all who wish to be involved. The committee consists of a President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Social Reps, Sports Reps, Shop Reps, Cultural Reps and Fresher Reps.


Student Association events include, but is not limited to:

  • “O-Week” which run in conjunction with the University Orientation Program is a week designed to help first year students meet new people and become excited about the year ahead;
  • “At Home Dinner” a long standing college tradition which involves each deck dressing up and creating a performance;
  • Semi Formal and Formal;
  • Christmas Party;
  • Music and talent night.


Having this committee in place ensures that there is an even balance of social events throughout the year, giving students a chance to enjoy themselves.
